HR Specialist, Research, Strategy & Solutions, Employee Experience & Outcomes (EXO) at Amazon in Berlin, Germany

About This HR Specialist Job in Germany

Amazon is hiring an HR Specialist to join its Employee Experience & Outcomes (EXO) organisation, working within the Research, Strategy & Solutions team that acts as EXO’s center of excellence for employee relations research and proactive workforce strategy. The role is based in Berlin, though Amazon has indicated it is open to candidates based in several other European corporate locations, including Luxembourg, the UK, Ireland, France, Italy and Spain.

This is a research-driven position rather than a reactive case-management one: the focus is on data analysis, trend forecasting and building scalable programmes that improve the employee experience across Amazon’s global, 1.5-million-strong workforce, rather than handling individual employee relations investigations.

About Amazon

Amazon is a global technology and e-commerce company operating across retail, cloud computing, logistics, entertainment and devices, with a substantial corporate and operations presence across Germany and the wider EU. Its Employee Experience & Outcomes organisation is dedicated to building trust between the company and its large frontline and corporate workforce through research-backed people programmes.

EU Job Hub Guidance: HR Specialist role in Employee Experience and Outcomes

This research-focused HR role looks at employee relations in a data-led way. The work includes studying cases, spotting patterns and suggesting ways to prevent problems. Employers look for people who can mix HR knowledge with analysis and write clearly. Share examples of research, surveys or case reviews you carried out. Show that you keep sensitive information private and can stay fair when a topic is tense.

Application and interview checklist

  • Prepare a case where you used data to change an HR practice.
  • Be ready to explain how you protect confidential information.
  • Think about how you would present findings to senior leaders.
  • Ask which kinds of data and tools the team uses.
  • Ask how the team works across several countries.

Before you move or commute

Germany has strong employee protection laws and works councils in many companies. Knowing the basics of German labour law helps in an employee relations role. Read the official pages on works councils and employment contracts. If your German is limited, ask which language the team uses day to day.
