Before you move or commute
Dingolfing is a smaller town in Lower Bavaria, and the plant is a major local employer. Check how you would reach the site, because public transport in small towns is less frequent. Many interns look for a room or a shared flat nearby. In Germany, internships longer than three months are usually paid at least the minimum wage, with some exceptions for study-required internships, so read the rules on the official labour ministry site.
