Training guide
A plain guide to the free SAP Learning course on SAP Fiori: its units, the length, the badge and how to practise.
EU Job Hub Editorial Team · Updated 1 October 2026 · Based on the official SAP Learning pages
Learning the basics of SAP Fiori is possible through a free course on SAP Learning. SAP Fiori is the user experience for SAP software. The old title of this page, “User Experience Fundamentals”, did not match the official course name.
This guide explains what the course covers and how long it takes. It also shows who benefits and how to use it in a job search in Europe. Check the SAP page for the current unit list.

SAP lists five learning goals. You learn to work with SAP Fiori applications and to understand its architecture and principles.
You also learn to configure and customise SAP Fiori, to adapt and mobilise apps and to integrate Fiori in different environments.
The course starts with the end-user perspective. Early lessons cover the dimensions and principles of Fiori and the launchpad.
Later units cover technology, architecture, content management and administration. A final unit covers adaptation.
SAP pages show slightly different unit lists, so read the current outline before you plan.
SAP says the journey is based on the customer course UX100, SAP Fiori Foundation. That course is a five-day paid class offered by SAP training.
The free journey reorganises it into a clear path with learning goals for each unit.
Earlier openSAP courses on Fiori were retired in October 2023, according to SAP pages. They point to this journey as the replacement.
If you find an older tutorial, check that its screens still match the current product.
SAP offers practice systems for some courses. Check the practice page for the UX100 system and any limits.
Use the launchpad in a test system. Personalise it, search for an app and note how the tiles are organised.
Write a one-page summary of the architecture. Explaining it to someone else shows what you missed.
At about five hours a week, plan for a month or more. Do one unit a week, then take its quiz.
Keep the hardest unit for a weekend. Revisit your notes before the final quiz.
Do not skip the end-user unit. It explains why the design looks as it does.
Do not assume that Fiori is only visual. Configuration and content management matter too.
Do not list the badge as a certification. It is a course badge.
Do you work with SAP screens at your job? If yes, the course links to daily tasks.
Are you a developer or an administrator? The later units suit you most.
The launchpad is the home screen for apps. Users open tiles to start tasks, and administrators decide which tiles each group sees.
Learn how catalogs, spaces and pages organise this content. SAP also teaches a short overview course on this topic.
Use each quiz as a checkpoint. If you miss a question, reread the lesson before you move on.
Keep a list of terms and their meaning. Fiori has many names for similar ideas.
Sketch the launchpad of an imagined company with three user groups. List which tiles each group needs.
Compare your sketch with the lessons on content and administration. Note what you would change.
SAP skills are in demand at consultancies, manufacturers and public bodies across Europe. Roles include SAP support analyst, SAP consultant trainee and front-end developer on SAP projects.
Add the badge or course to your Europass CV, with the year. Mention the unit that fits the job.
The course does not give a right to work. Check national rules if you need a visa.
