What the Exam Measures
Microsoft says candidates plan, deploy, configure and manage teams, channels, chat, apps, calling, meetings and events. Candidates also work with Microsoft 365 services such as Groups, SharePoint, OneDrive and Exchange.

Planning a Teams Environment

Chat, Teams, Channels and Apps
This area is about daily administration. You create teams, manage channels and control which apps users may add.

Calling and Meetings
Teams is also a phone and meeting platform. You learn to manage meeting settings, events and calling features. You should also know how Teams Rooms devices are set up.

Monitoring and Troubleshooting
This is the smallest area, but it is useful at work. You learn to read usage reports and find the cause of common problems.

Who Should Take It
The exam suits IT support staff and Microsoft 365 administrators who already manage Teams. It also suits consultants who set up Teams for clients.
It is a poor fit for complete beginners. Start with a fundamentals course first if you have never used the Microsoft 365 admin centre.
A Practical Study Plan
Allow six to eight weeks if you already use Teams as an administrator. Work through the four skill areas in order. For each area, read the study guide bullets and test them in a trial tenant.
Keep a small lab. Create a few teams, add guest users, and change one policy at a time. Note what each change does for a user. This habit teaches you more than reading alone.
Spend the last week on exam practice. Time yourself. Review any topic where you guessed, and read the matching Microsoft Learn page again.
Common Mistakes to Avoid
Do not study only from the admin centre. The study guide also names PowerShell and Microsoft Graph.
Do not ignore networking and licensing. They sit in the largest area and surprise many candidates.
Do not memorise percentages. They change between exam versions, so read the current guide.

Many European employers run Microsoft 365. Roles such as Microsoft 365 administrator, collaboration engineer and IT support specialist often mention Teams.
List the credential on your CV with the exam code. Add a short line about what you configured in practice.
